TECHNICAL MANAGER PD

Responsibilities:

• Here I hold a responsible role as technical manager in product development department.
• Managing sample development and customized samples ,in charge of technical function such as pattern validation ,sewing construction ,method confirmation.
• Planning ,organizing, and monitoring the sample making process to ensure timely production. Provide technical advise ,suggestions and support in carrying out sample production.
• Collaborate with sewing technicians and QA to provide technical guidance for problems that arise throughout the bulk manufacturing process.
• Ensure the production requirements work closely with other related teams such as the folder technician ,mechanics, and IE teams to create new folders to reduce SMV and improve quality.
• Working directly with France technical people and design team
• Ensure all comments to the france team are legible and understood
• Risk Assess garments from conception through to delivery; agreeing manufacturing methods that are achievable in bulk production and result in a product that will perform to all requirements after purchase
• Ensuring all technical issues are accurately and consistently analyzed and that clear, concise and accurate comments are sent to france team
• Technical issue solve along with Quality team
• Able to sew all kind of machines
• Closely work with buyers sending the samples as per the buyer standard for approval.

• Here I hold a responsible role as technical expert in integration department
• Managing pre-production activities, in charge of technical function such as pattern validation, sewing construction, method confirmation.
• Provide technical advice, suggestions and support in carrying out sample production.
• Ensure the production requirements work closely with other related teams such as the folder technician, mechanics, and IE teams to create new folders to reduce SMV and improve quality.
• Organize preproduction meetings, create OBD and train production technicians before production start
• Collaborate with sewing technicians and QA to provide technical guidance for problems that arise throughout the bulk manufacturing process
• Review the production performance with the technical team after product delivery to facilitate future methods improvement
• Able to sew all kind of machines
• Implement and maintain 6S principles through floor walk

• Here I hold a responsible role as garment technologist in sample room
• I am being assisted by 1 garment technician, 3 sample coordinators, 1 Chinese translator, 1 clerk, 10 operators, 1 line leader
• To produce finished garments on time to crystal martin Global Quality Standards; Manage the sewing lines effectively while driving continuous improvement in SQDCEP
• Manage a team, which comprises of assistant / garment technician, sample coordinator & Line leader to ensure all Red tag /PP samples are approved within the customer's / company timeline to the correct standard
• Support development GMT to ensure tech packs are prepared and completed to hand over to the factory on time and in line with the PPM date
• Prioritize production problems when they arise and resolve in a quick effective timeline
• Send all customers PP samples on time to the planned schedule
• Ensure accurate tech packs are passed to production units .
• Advise on improving construction and fit
• Provide feedback to the Product Developers, Designers and factories on sample specifications and make up requirements.
• Reduce technical call-out to ZS.
• All PP and TOP samples are pre-fitted on the customer mannequin before sending to ZS or the customer. Fit logs must accompany all samples.
• On moulded products, make and sign off cups mock ups for factory standards. Approving the Top sample .
• Critical Path: Ensure that all seals process/tests are achieved at each stage to critical path dates.
• Ensure testing spreadsheets & risk assessments are sent to the factories ,Monitor & review all teammates’ performance, training needs & provide appropriate guidance. Build strong relationships with the factories and customers.
• Work closely with merchants and supplier for printing and embroidery styles.

• Here I hold a responsible role as sample department & production technical manager
• I am being assisted by 30 sample operators, 3 sample technicians, 1 pattern tech, 2 garment tech, 3 IE and 12 production technicians.
• Responsible for all development samples, pp samples, seal samples, photo samples, test samples, sending as per the buyer requirements
• Review spec discrepancies and factory quality suggestion since salesman sample and pp sample to clarify with buyer prior to bulk production start
• Attend fit sessions to ensure that every garment meets strict guidelines for fit and look
• Ensure all comments to the buyer are legible and understood
• Check fabric and trim with the submitted sample based on tech pack
• Closely working with pattern technologist for the good outcome
• Responsible for revising operation breakdown as per the samples as well as production feasible method
• Closely working with IE and making sure the consumption are given correct
• Conduction risk analysis meeting with production and quality team
• Technical issue solve along with Quality team
• Well cooperation with Merchandiser team to share issues regarding to material and trim quality

• Here I hold a responsible role as production technical manager for the bra factory
• I am being assisted by 17 technicians.
• Ensure the production timeline processes (including sample comments relating to fit, finishing, construction and measurements specifications) are met with the production
• Reviewing the pilot run Garments for pattern correction and Easy handling
• Closely working with pattern technologist for the good outcome
• Conducting pre-production meeting and pilot appraisal meeting
• Working directly with UK technical people and design team
• Discussing and working with design team and UK technical team technical issue, issue before making final decision
• Take ownership of the garment fit for own customers; attend fit sessions to ensure that every garment meets strict guidelines for fit and look
• Ensure all comments to the UK team are legible and understood
• Risk Assess garments from conception through to delivery; agreeing manufacturing methods that are achievable in bulk production and result in a product that will perform to all requirements after purchase
• Attend critical path meetings with the in-house team and show a good understanding of the critical path process
• Request and collate information from care labels and testing reports, document the information accurately and resolve any issues
• Ensuring all technical issues are accurately and consistently analyzed and that clear, concise and accurate comments are sent to UK team
• Feeding back to PD Technical Manager, peers and technologists with recommendations for improvements to procedures and practices
• Technical issue solve along with Quality team

• Ensure the production timeline processes (including sample comments relating to fit, finishing, construction and measurements specifications) are met with the production
• Provide support to all fits sessions during the fit process through to final approval of production
• Ensure Article Description (AD) and Machine Attachments are followed as documented for each style
• Understand and react to quality indicators including Inline, End line, and AQL rejections
• Ensure the module preparation for quick style change over,To maintain the throughput time 3 to 4 hrs
• Lead efforts to improve Operator efficiency while ensuring they follow correct method
• Engage the entire team and support departments in eliminating losses and improving efficiency
• Derive Action plan and Follow up on Operators whose minutes are < 300
• Ensure style change over parameters are fulfilled as mentioned in check list
• Take up additional projects to improve operational processes when required by the Organization
• Collect data, analyze, and ensure corrective actions are in place for continuous improvement of all KPI's
• Ensure Stage Samples are in place for newly loaded styles, Ensure warning slip is given for commissions that has more color groups
• Ensure Single point lesson (SPL) is being prepared for unidentified issues cropping up for first time
• Develop core competencies based on skills matrix for Supervisors and Operators, Train, coach and mentor staff to be effective leaders
• Ensure compliance to POS (Production Operating System)
• Implement and maintain 6S principles through floor walk.

• My role is train the supervisors, manpower allocation, production planning and bottle neck problems solving to the production supervisors
• Ensure WIP is under min max numbers, Ensure open orders are closed according to FIFO
• Ensure Re cuts are followed properly, Escalate issues to superiors at timely intervals
• System implementation according to our factory standards, prepare the operators skill matrix multi skill training program conducting for skilled operators, to train and select the jumpers generate date for easier and effective line balancing follow up the low efficiency operator
• Deliver daily targets on time in full ('OTIF') with good quality
• Reduce rework and deploy first time through ('FTT') principles
• Prepare Work Distribution Plan (WDP) to be loaded styles for 70% OEE in coordination with Mechanics
• Monitor hourly count and bottlenecks; updating of hourly board each hour
• Take appropriate action/s to eliminate the bottlenecks, balance the line
• Ensure that Operator follows the self-checking / measurement deployment and confirm to 'no defect forward' policy
• Ensure under consumed materials are returned, Manage over consumption
• Skill wise grading of all operators and conducting motivation classes of production team
• Manage absenteeism and attrition through attendance; comply with 'return to work' policies
• Conduct Performance Appraisals twice per year for all direct reports
